  • Time: 1:30pm (Warm-Up will be starting at 1pm)
  • Route: Helvetiaplatz – Stauffacherstrasse - Werdstrasse – Sihlbrücke – Sihlstrasse – Sihlporte – Talackerstrasse – Bärengasse – Bahnhofstrasse – Uraniastrasse – Werdmühleplatz

The second event, of course, is the Europride 2011 in Rome, with the parade on June 11th. If you are going to Rome for EuroPride,  drop us a mail with your cell phone number. We may be able to spontaneously organize something fun with our members on the spot.

And last but not least: the 4th international GLBT Business Leader Forum is recommended as the the major LGBT workplace conference on the continent this year. Major corporate sponsors  are supporting,  and it promises to be an insightful, useful and motivational event. More details are available from the web site:

We are looking forward to seeing you at any of those events and do - of course - hope to see many of you at the parade of the Zurich Pride Festival!

Family matters for LGBT - Presentation by and about “Rainbow Families”

Dear LGBT Interbank Members,

We are pleased to invite you to a presentation on LGBT family rights, a current topic that will also be discussed in the Swiss Parlament next month.

For some, accepting the fact of being gay or lesbian implied the end to dreams of children and a family of their own. Others discovered or faced their homosexuality while already mothers or fathers.

Increasingly, gays and lesbians are claiming the right to enter partnerships and raise a family. Prejudice and homophobia persist and are often most visible and virulent when the subject is LGBT families. Children of patchwork families with gay or lesbian parents especially become targets, and are at risk of being forcibly extracted from their families upon the death of the biological parent. LGBT family rights have now become the subject of a swiss federal grant study and project.
These are not hypothetical issues, but directly impact some of our friends and their families, some of whom will assist the discussion.

“Rainbow Families” is an organization that brings the multiple aspects of LGBT family ambitions, security for children, and equal rights into focus.
Two brief presentations in German are followed by a Q&A session in German and English and discussion.

The event is organized by Pride@UBS and was opened to us as well. Space is limited, please register you and your guests for this event at, thank you!

New Year, New Bar!

LGBT Interbank is very happy to invite you to our first apero in 2011 which will be held at the brand new bar “PlatZhirsch” in the very centre of Zurich.

Platzhirsch Invitation

Following several weeks of renovation, PlatZHirsch has finally found its territory as a meeting place with a smoker’s lounge. Fresh beer on tap is garnished with homemade bretzels. The cocktails are created by barmix world vice-champion Remo Thörig and come with an exclusive mix of nuts; the snacks are a creation inspired by foodstylist and private chef Peter Marty.

With comfortable sofas and classy music, the ambience just perfect for our community!

End-Of-The-Year-Apéro at the Pacifico

2010 is almost history and LGBT Interbank would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our “End-Of-The-Year-Apéro”: when it is getting cold and dark outside, we will plunge into the warm and friendly atmosphere of the Pacifico (which we will have all to ourselves!). Antonio and his team will quench our thirst with classic drinks - and some new ones, like “The Barrack Obama” or the “Gin Tony”.

To allow our ladies some uninterrupted chats, we will also have a women’s table. And if someone is feeling an urge to shake an arm or a leg, is welcome to dance to the music of the 80ies on the dancefloor!

So, don’t miss it: LGBT Interbank End-Of-The-Year-Apéro, December 2nd, 2010, from 6 p.m. on at the Pacifico (Limmatquai 70 / Rosenhof) in Zurich!

LBGT Interbank will march in the parade on Saturday, June 5th together with the group of banking and financial networks. Up front, we will carry our new LGBT Interbank banner (kindly provided by the Credit Suisse Open Network), which will give us good visibility and help emphasize the concerns of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees within the Swiss financial sector.
